Leon Feldman

Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer.

Leon Feldman is a musical artist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, vocalist and producer based in Vancouver, BC Canada.

The son of legendary music business executive Sam Feldman, Leon has been an active musician since the age of 15, and has been performing live and creating records in and around Vancouver since. Leon received a diploma from the VCC School of Music in 2012 where he majored in Jazz/Contemporary Guitar Performance with a minor in Vocal Studies. He was awarded the ‘Fred Bass Scholarship’ for ‘most talented all-round performer’.

He has interned with world renowned producers, and film and TV composer’s in LA such as: James Newton Howard, Hans Zimmer, Snuffy Walden and Larry Klein.

He is a founding member, lead singer, guitarist , keyboard player and producer for the Vancouver BC based progressive rock quintet Glass Kites and was a founding member, guitarist and backup vocalist for the Montréal based hip-hop group Panther & the Supafly, fronted by Panther Matumona.

In January 2021, Leon released his band Glass Kites’ second album ‘Glass Kites II’ which he wrote, recorded and produced.

In addition to writing & collaborating alongside his long time friends such as grammy award winning artist/producer Pomo (aka David Pimentel) and Nate Drobner (aka AstroLogical / Potatohead People) he has also collaborated with a number of other artists both live and in-studio, including Michael Bublé, Marlie Collins, Jayde Ubels, Chill Winston, Melissa Endean, MAARTE (aka Matt Young) and many others.

Leon is also the band leader and singer for the 8-piece AOR / Yacht-Rock tribute band West Coast Dream Team which he co-founded with his musical partner Nate Drobner in 2018.

He is currently hard at work on his debut solo album ‘Return of the Songbird’ which is set to be released in early 2026.

In addition to these various projects Leon has also worked as a professional freelance producer, audio engineer, arranger, composer, gigging musician, and as a music teacher for the past 15 years - teaching hundreds of students lessons in guitar, voice, piano, drums, bass, music theory and production both as a private instructor, and for organizations such as the JCC School of Music, Song of Stars, and at the Open Door Music School in Vancouver, BC.
